Do you provide edits or proofreads for non-fiction?

Yes, of course! Polished Prose works on all kinds of narrative fiction and non-fiction.

Are there any genres you do not accept?

At this stage, Polished Prose is unable to accept manuscripts for sci-fi novels*. Speculative fiction, fantasy or magic realism are acceptable, but it’s best to book a free consultation to get a better understanding of the project and see if we are the right fit. Polished Prose does not work with poetry or scripts.

*Proofreads are available for all genres

Can I send you an unfinished or half-written manuscript?

You may, however please note that smaller, unfinished pieces, or short stories/essays, will be charged at the hourly rate when the total word count rate comes in under this. Get in touch to receive a proper quote.

Does Polished Prose provide edits or proofreads for other types of writing? ie websites, articles, academic papers etc.

Yes, Polished Prose is happy to edit any kind of written content. For academic articles, this can be dependent on the topic. Get in touch for more information.

Do you provide editing packages?

Yes! If you’re interested in taking your manuscript through a full editing process—structural edit, copyedit and proofread—we can work together to create a plan and quote a package dependent on you and your work.
